Our Commitment
ProPlan Scholar is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that every student — regardless of ability — deserves equal access to the tools that help them succeed academically.
proplanscholar.com and our web application (proplanscholar.com/app) are substantially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We continue to improve as our product evolves.
Conformance Status
Substantially conformant means the marketing site and web application meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across content, keyboard navigation, form fields, focus indicators, color contrast, and screen-reader landmarks. Testing on our native iOS and Android apps is ongoing.
Recent Improvements
The following accessibility work has shipped:
- Skip-to-main-content links on every page for keyboard and screen-reader users
- Semantic landmarks (
main,nav,article) throughout the site and app - Visible keyboard focus outlines on all interactive elements
- Decorative emoji and icons hidden from screen readers with
aria-hidden - Screen-reader labels on all 94 form fields, all 12 modals, and all icon-only buttons in the web app
- Modal dialogs now announce their role and purpose to assistive technology
- WCAG-compliant color contrast on all text (harmonized to 5.5:1 or better)
- Reduced-motion support — animations and transitions honor your operating system preference
- Accessible clean URLs — every public page has an explicit route

- Self-evaluation using the WAVE accessibility evaluation tool
- Manual keyboard navigation testing
- Screen reader testing with VoiceOver (macOS)
- Color contrast verification using WebAIM Contrast Checker
- Automated testing with axe-core in the development environment
